"I cannot live without books." -- Thomas Jefferson

This page is devoted to books (and probably other media, such as documentaries and the like) I consider to be essential reading (or other consumption as the case may be). Here are just a few to get started:

  • The Well-Educated Mind by Susan Wise Bauer;
  • Ideas Have Consequences by Richard M. Weaver;
  • Common Sense Economics by James Gwartney, et al.;
  • The Federalist Papers;
  • Leviathan by Thomas Hobbes; and
  • Common Sense by Thomas Paine
  • John Adams by David McCullough
  • How To Speak, How to Listen by Mortimer Adler
  • A Patriot's History of the United States by Larry Schweikart
  • The FairTax Book by Neil Boortz
  • Restoring The Lost Constitution by Randy E. Barnett

I'm going to be adding more books to this list, and creating other lists, soon. If you haven't read any of the above books, I strongly recommend you read any you haven't read. Any one of these books could drastically change the way you look at major issues that affect us all.
